Architecture combined with textile precision
The Jugendstilhotel Trifels has extended its offering in the form of three new wellness chalets, providing some extraordinary refuges in the midst of Mother Nature. The chalets on stilts feature organic architecture with curved walls – which places special demands on their interior design.
The developers commissioned interior design company Textiles Wohnen Bruno Fischer from neighbouring Hinterweidenthal for the window decorations who created a bespoke solution for the curtain fittings: Zero.2 square traversing rods from interstil were used, although they were bent in a vertical direction for this project rather than being bent horizontally as normal. This enables the fittings to follow the extraordinary geometry of the rooms precisely so that they blend in perfectly with the curved architecture.
The result combines function and design in a very special way: the curtains can be opened and closed easily while the bespoke fittings fit in perfectly with the organic shapes of the chalets.
This is a project that demonstrates how individual solutions from interstil can accompany even challenging architectural designs while remaining both elegant and functional.
