Only the ceiling bracket is angled
In Bischofswiesen, at the heart of the Berchtesgarden Basin, an extremely modern wooden building, yet one in harmony with Mother Nature has been built in the form of the Kulturhof Stanggass. It is a hotel and event location, inn and beer garden, seminar venue and recuperation oasis for body and soul.
The property includes over 100 beds and houses some of its guests in the five exposed “Stadlzimmer”, all of which have a south-facing balcony with spectacular views of the Alps.
The window fronts were designed with split curtains to provide shade and privacy. The clients selected the SINUS 25 mm traversing system with a black finish to hang the curtains. The particular challenge for this installation was securing the curtain systems in the gable. The fittings look almost as if they are floating and were secured at the side using wall supports and in the centre with a wall bracket. The 460 cm span of the systems also required two additional fastenings for which ceiling brackets with a bespoke length and bracket bases designed specifically to match the 25.2° roof pitch were manufactured.
