Sympathetic upgrade for a centuries-old castle
The Kastell Ter Borcht in Meulebeke, Belgium, is several centuries old. After standing empty for years, the castle has undergone extensive renovation work. In 2017, the exterior of the building was refurbished and more recently, the local council has also had the interior extensively renovated to house a restaurant, conference room, offices and a hall for receptions.
Local interior designers Gorditex BVBA were commissioned by the council to supply the interior textile decorations. Together with the clients, they selected SYMPATHIE 1, a modern traversing system which still harmonises with the particular style of the castle. The client was so delighted with both the function and design of the 30 mm diameter fittings that twelve fittings in matt brass and seven in a black finish are now decorating the premises.
